Stainless Steel Locker for Food Factory β€” 6 Door 201 Grade Cabinet for Halal Audit Compliance

The Changing Room Problem Nobody Talks About

Walk into a food factory that’s been running for three or four years. Chances are the lockers are already beat. Metal doors that don’t close right. Locks rusted stiff. A sour smell every time somebody opens a door.

Then the Halal auditor shows up. First place they check? The changing room. Material not up to standard, mold spots in the corners, paint peeling off the lockers β€” straight into the non-compliance report.

This isn’t paranoia. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) standards specifically list stainless steel requirements for changing room furniture. Painted steel lockers, plastic cabinets, wooden wardrobes β€” none of them pass.

We’ve been making stainless steel lockers for nine years. Food factories are our main line. 201 grade is our standard. 304 is available if you need it. Factories in Saudi Arabia, India, and Brazil use our cabinets. Halal audits have never been an issue.

201 vs 304 β€” Quick Breakdown

Here’s how we see it.

201 stainless steel is our standard option. For areas where food isn’t directly handled β€” changing rooms, hand-wash stations, corridor storage β€” it does the job. The brushed surface wipes clean easily. It doesn’t flake or rust like painted steel. And it costs roughly half of what 304 does.

304 stainless steel is for zones that need the higher grade β€” food contact areas, or production floors with heavy moisture. If you’re going through HACCP certification or supplying a JBS or NestlΓ©-level plant, their spec sheet usually calls for 304.

We make both. You tell us which grade you need. If you go with 304, just mention it in your order and we’ll include the MTC (Material Test Certificate). A lot of our customers use it to close out audit items. It works.

So Can This Locker Pass a Halal Audit?

Short answer: yes. But you need to know what the auditor actually looks for.

Three things:

  1. MaterialΒ β€” Stainless steel is inherently food-grade safe. It won’t contaminate work clothes. This goes for both 201 and 304.
  2. SurfaceΒ β€” Stainless is dense, non-porous. Easy to clean, easy to sanitize. No paint to peel off over time. A painted steel locker after three years? The coating flakes and that’s a problem.
  3. DesignΒ β€” No crevices for dirt to build up. Vents on each door keep air moving. The whole cabinet sits off the floor so cleaning crews can mop underneath.

Our cabinet checks all three boxes. 201 grade in the changing room is perfectly fine β€” cleans well, sanitizes well, passes Halal audit with no trouble. 304 is also available if you prefer it, with MTC on request. An auditor looks at the material cert, sees stainless steel, moves on.

Packaging & Shipping

What food factory managers hate most: lockers arriving rusty, dented, or missing parts.

Ours ship fully assembled. Unwrap, put in place, done. Packaging is three layers β€” anti-corrosion foam wrap around the cabinet, cardboard box with corner protectors, and stretch film on the outside for moisture protection.

We ship from the nearest port β€” Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen, whichever works for you. Let our sales team know your port and quantity, they’ll get you the exact loading count and shipping cost.

FAQ β€” Things Buyers Usually Ask

Q: What’s the minimum order quantity?Β

No strict MOQ on standard models. One sample cabinet works, though the unit price is higher. Bulk orders via full container get the best pricing.

Q: Can I put my own logo on it?Β

Yes. Silk-screen logo on the door, custom packaging, English labels β€” all doable.

Q: What’s the shipping cost to Saudi Arabia / India?

Β FOB or CIF, whichever you prefer. Freight rates change fast these days. Tell us your port and quantity, we’ll quote the same day.

Q: How long does the warranty last?

Β In normal use, a stainless steel locker lasts well over 5 years. If you’ve been replacing painted steel lockers every two years, it’s time to switch.

Q: Do you have CE certification?

Β CE certification is available on request. 24-hour quotation response.

Bottom Line

The changing room matters more in a food factory audit than most people think. Don’t let a rusty locker turn into a non-compliance finding.
